Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG that respects your time. Battles are turn-based and quick, the story doles out its twists at a steady clip, and every zone is packed into a compact download that lives entirely on your device. We finished the first act on a single charge and were genuinely surprised how much personality the small cast had.

Combat leans on positioning and elemental weaknesses rather than grinding, so a smart formation beats a higher level more often than not. The skill trees are readable, which is rarer than it should be on mobile. Nothing here needs a connection, and there are no interruptions asking you to come back later.

It's not a huge game, and that's the point. It knows its length and tells a complete story inside it. If you want a cosy, self-contained fantasy adventure for a long trip, this is one of our favourites in the catalogue.
